Lil Bri had a banner year on the Kenai Peninsula not missing a day guiding on the Rivers for the monster Chinook Kings of Alaska. With approx 60 booked trips and 200 plus clients, Lil Brian did “one up” his dad, and also an Alaska River guide by catching a 60lb King on the Kasilof river. Welcome back Brian!

Brian Kyncy speaks at public meeting concerning winter run Chinook in the Sacramento River

During a public meeting on Jan 19, 2016 in Redding,  wildlife officials listened to guides and others voice their concerns about a plan to close a section of the Sacramento River to help the survival of winter-run Chinook salmon. The Record Searchlight had this to say about the meeting: Brian Kyncy, of NorCal Shasta Outfitters, is worried that the temporary closure will soon become permanent. “I have never seen our government shut something down temporarily that we did not lose permanently,” Kyncy said. “So when you start temporarily shutting down … I see permanent coming here pretty quick.” To view the […]
